It is in fact a Node.js binding to the libgit2 linkable C Git library.
The binding isn't going to totally cover the overall libgit2 API and differs in some sections.
The authentic libgit2 library can be downloaded from below .

· Heavy refactors to deliver gitteh up to date with libgit2. 11..
· Commits no longer have approaches to retrieve tree/ mothers and fathers. Alternatively, they are just sha1 string properties on the item.
· Trees no more time have getEntry() approach, all tree entries are extra to an array in the tree.entries home.
· Tree writing is at the moment unsupported (as it truly is been damaged in libgit2), subsequent version will enable writing an index as a tree.
· Ref deletion is now supported.
· Ref packing is supported. This is a fairly innovative characteristic and necessary far more operate than it was worthy of. Any concerns noted on this will be adopted up ASAP.
· Entire documentation written for the bindings.
