JGroups permits builders to make trustworthy multipoint (multicast) apps in which reliability is a deployment concern, and does not have to be applied by the software developer.
This saves application builders significant quantities of time, and enables for the software to be deployed in different environments, without having having to alter code.
It is based mostly on IP multicast, but can be extended into any community protocol.
Right here are some important capabilities of "JGroups":
General functions :
· Reputable multicasting
· Flexible protocol stack
· Effortlessly adaptable
· Significant pace messaging
· Cloud enabled
· Group development and deletion. Team members can be spread throughout LANs or WANs
· Joining and leaving of teams
· Membership detection and notification about joined/ still left /crashed members
· Detection and elimination of crashed associates
· Sending and acquiring of member-to- group messages ( place -to-multipoint)
· Sending and acquiring of member-to-member messages ( point -to- level )
Protocol stack:
· Transportation protocols: UDP (IP Multicast), TCP, JMS
· Fragmentation of big messages
· Reliable unicast and multicast information transmission. Dropped messages are retransmitted
· Failure detection: crashed associates are excluded from the membership
· Purchasing protocols: Atomic (all-or-none concept shipping ), Fifo, Causal, Full Get (sequencer or token based )
· Membership
· Encryption
